International Symposium on Global Navigation Satellite Systems, Space-Based and Ground-Based Augmentation Systems and Applications
Brussels, Belgium, 29 - 30 November 2010 Hosted by the Land Berlin, Germany, organised and co-organised by the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development, the Berlin Senate Chancellery, the International EUPOS® Steering Committee, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems Programme Committee Gerd Rosenthal, Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and European Position Determination System (EUPOS) Prof. Dr. Hans Haubold, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UN OOSA) and Secretariat of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) Sharafat Gadimova, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UN OOSA) and Secretariat of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) Dr Johannes Ihde, Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) and International Association of Geodesy, Reference Frame Sub-Commission for Europe (EUREF) The Berlin Symposium 2010 is one of a number of high-level events, to which belong thematically the International Symposia on Global Navigation Satellite Systems, Space-Based and Ground-Based Augmentation Systems and Applications, organised and co-organised by Berlin, EUPOS, UNOOSA and ICG, which are held in Berlin 2008 and 2009, and also the Workshops on the Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems, which were organised by the United Nations, Azerbaijan, United States of America and European Space Agency Workshop, held in Baku 2009, and the United Nations, Moldova, United States of America Workshop, held in Chisinau 2010 - all dealing with promotion of the peaceful uses of modern GNSS technology. The Symposium 2010 intends to bring together international providers, specialists and technicians in the field of GNSS and Differential GNSS with members of the European Union Parliament, members of the European Commission and its committees as well as politicians dealing with topics related to the European Global Satellite Positioning System GALILEO anyway.
